The Prozone air purifier uses the latest technology that captures the ozone and uses it to clean the air. There is no doubt about how well this method freshens the air with its ultraviolet light, but the jury is still out on the effectiveness of the Prozone air purifier in cleansing the air of allergens and pollutants.
The Prozone Air Cleaner
Like all air purification systems for indoor applications, the Prozone air cleaner does a great job at cleaning the air – at least at face value, or should we say nose value. The air is most assuredly cleaner and fresher smelling with Prozone air purifiers.
There is some debate on how well the method of using ultra violet light ( uv-air-cleaner ) and the ozone works as a water purifier or air purifier. If you take a look at the science, it is easy to see how the use of oxygen molecules can cleanse the air and even water.
How Ozone Cleans the Air
Ozone molecules basically clean the air by detaching one of the three oxygen molecules in its make up which allows it to adhere to other particles in the air. When it attaches to the air borne particles, it then alters their chemical make up, killing bacteria, moulds and other harmful substances in the air. This activate oxygen is able to neutralize man-made pollutants as well as allergens in the air. It destroys both odours and viruses, making it effective in freshening the air as well as making breathing air healthier.
Negative ions in the air have been tested to determine how effective they are in cleaning the air. The Environmental Protection Agency has done extensive research on how this impacts the environment and the air we breathe. The reports are positive in that the negatively charged ions are effective in cleaning the air from pollutants that attach to surfaces, especially man-made pollutants. Ozone as found in the Prozone air cleaner is safe within the application of normal use of all household appliances. There are low, safe and yet effective levels of ozone in the Prozone air purifier.
